Why Months In The Spring Might Be Slightly Better If You’re Trying For A Girl Baby: Italian researchers analyzed birth rates over a six year period. They looked at over 14,000 live births. They found that there were a higher number of boy babies conceived in September through November, while a higher number of girls were conceived from March to May. (Statistically speaking, these higher numbers are pretty slight, but they are there.)

This is thought to be nature’s way of ensuring that more boys are born in the summer when there are warmer temperatures and more day light hours. It’s widely known that boy babies are more vulnerable and weak (as are the sperm chromosomes (Y) that produce boy babies), so researchers think that this is nature’s way of ensuring that more males are born during warmer months to spare them the harsher winters.

Researchers admit that there may be a higher concentration of Y sperm chromosomes seasonally but this has not yet been looked at. Whatever the reasoning, there were slight differences in gender in the spring than there was in winter, but again, there were still plenty of boys conceived in the spring and plenty of girls conceived in the winter.

When you reach this particular “optimal period” (long days and warm weather) is of course going to vary by your climate. If you live close the equator then you will have this type of weather for most of the year. Frankly, I believe that there are many other variables that are much more important than what the calendar is showing you, which I will discuss below.

What You Should Worry About More Than The Calendar If You’re Trying To Conceive A Girl: I agree that the Y or boy sperm vulnerability is a big advantage. I also concede that research shows this seems to come into play more in the spring months. However, if you take full advantage of timing and PH, I absolutely believe that you can conceive a girl in any month that you wish.

The first thing that you need to consider is ovulation times. We know that boy sperm (or the Y’s) do not live as long as girls. Therefore, you want to have a very long fertility window because doing this will ensure that most of the Y’s have died off and can not make it to the egg. You do this by conceiving before your egg is ready to be fertilized. You want to shoot for three to four days before ovulation. And, this typically requires a superb ovulation predictor since many will only give you a “positive” or “plus” reading once ovulation has happened. Saliva predictors will often allow you to see the days before ovulation actually occurs.

Next, you’ll need to consider your acidity. If your goal is a girl baby, then you want a very high PH. The reason for this is because the boy sperm are too weak to withstand this. So, this will just be one more thing that is going to weed them out. You can test to see where your PH is with little strips that you can typically find at a health food store. Then, depending on where you are, you can raise this by eating a highly acidic diet or by specialty douches.

And, it really all boils down to this. Your ideal day to conceive a girl occurs when your PH reads sky high and your ovulation predictor is showing that you are 3 – 4 days from ovulation. This is hopefully two days and every cycle and no more than this. (And if your PH is not high enough yet, you should wait.) I firmly believe that it doesn’t matter what month this occurs in. I’ve seen this work too many times during the winter months to think other wise.

Unfortunately, however, some couples do find it hard to conceive for several reasons, including weak or insufficient sperm count. In some cases, as when nature needs a boost, a little push from you and your partner can go a long way in getting pregnant. When it comes to the best position to get pregnant, the general rule is that the male sperm must be deposited as near to the female cervix as possible.

This has something to do with the life spans of the female egg and the male sperm. Once an egg is released from the ovary-a stage also known as ovulation-it begins its path down the fallopian tube to the uterus. A released egg typically survives for only 24 hours, while a sperm can last anywhere from three to five days in the female body. As such, the egg has to be as close to the egg as possible so they can meet and join before the egg dies.

While not a lot of people will agree that the sexual positions have anything to do with getting pregnant, the logical inference is that it makes sense to assume the position that can help the sperm meet the egg in the shortest possible time.

This is especially true when for couples who have problems or difficulty conceiving. Having said this, the first “best position to get pregnant” tip is to avoid positions that least expose the cervix to the male sperm, and that generally defy gravity such as sex while standing up, sitting down, or with the woman on top. When trying to conceive, it is best to limit the amount of sperm that flows back out of the vagina.

The woman’s hips should also be positioned in such a way that the sperm released is kept inside, giving it enough time to swim up to the female cervix.

Consider the following positions instead:

1. The missionary position, or man-on-top, is said to be the position that’s best for getting pregnant. This is because this particular position allows for the deepest possible penetration, making it possible for the sperm to get deposited closest to the cervix.

2. Elevating the hips, which can be done by placing a pillow behind her, can also be helpful because this exposes the female cervix to as much semen as the male can release.

3. The rear-entry position where the man enters the woman from behind is also a recommended position. In this position, sperm is also deposited closest to the cervix, thereby helping increase the chances of conception.

4. You can also try having intercourse while lying side by side. This position likewise causes the most exposure of the cervix to the male sperm.

5. Finally, while this has nothing to do with sexual positions, there are also researches that suggest the importance of the female orgasm in conceiving. According to studies, female orgasm leads to contractions that could push sperm up into the cervix. The lesson: have fun while trying to conceive.

Why The Sexual Positions You Use When Trying To Conceive Affect The Gender Of Your Baby: Most every one knows that intercourse positions can affect whether you have a boy or a girl, but not everyone fully understands why this is true. Your baby’s gender is determined by which sperm chromosome reaches and fertilizes the egg first. There are both Y (boy) and X (girl) chromosomes. Both race to the egg, but each have different characteristics. Y sperm are very fast, but are also extremely weak. X sperm are not the fastest, but are by far the strongest.

If you are trying to conceive a boy baby, this is important to know because you will have to downplay the Y sperm’s weakness. These guys start to deteriorate and die off very quickly. So, you’ll need to do several things to help to compensate for this. The sexual positions that you chose is one way to control this.

The Best Intercourse And Sexual Positions For A Baby Boy Conception: To get pregnant with a male baby, you’ll want to use positioning that places the sperm as close as possible to the egg. This gives the weak little guys a short trip and limits their time in a hostile vaginal environment.

Additional Things You’ll Need To Do When Trying To Conceive A Girl: Sexual positioning is one part of the equation, but it’s not the only part. You’ll need to do everything that you can to give the Y sperm the best chance, considering their relative weakness. Another way to do this is by having intercourse on the day of or the day following ovulation. You will need a reliable ovulation predictor to ensure success because accuracy is vital here. You can’t just guess.

You will also need to alkalize your body and your vagina. Remember, Y sperm can not withstand a hostile environment and a high PH and acidity is about as hostile as you can get. You can achieve a lower PH by going on a low acid diet and / or by douching. The best and easiest way to start is to test your PH with testing strips that you can get a health food store or on the web. Then, you will know how far you need to go to get your optimum PH. And, the douche solutions that will work best for will depend on this reading.

You can use the either or method (either foods or douching) or you can combine both of these for even quicker, more dramatic results. And, you can continue to test with the strips so you will know exactly when you are ready to conceive your son.
