<p>Start by running in place or alternatively you can do jumping jacks. Spend about two to three minutes doing one of these exercises as intensely and quickly as possible. It may be difficult but it is one of the most important parts of the workout so make sure you do it right. Remember to focus on the fact that you are losing weight.</p>
<p>Next, you will be doing an exercise called the &#8220;Mule Kick.&#8221; The right way to do this exercise is to stand with your feet right below you and try and kick both legs up toward your buttocks. Essentially, it will feel like you are trying to kick your backside. You need to do this exercise for two to three minutes with this exercise and watch the belly fat go goodbye.</p>
<p>OK, here is the next two minutes: Hit the floor for some good old fashioned pushups. Make sure you do the pushups so that your arms are parallel with the ground. In other words, make sure your body goes all the way down to the point that it all but touches the ground but does not actually do so.</p>
<p>Now, you spend the next two minutes going back to doing the running in place or doing jumping jacks. Once again, remember to think of the fact that you are losing body fat. To burn or eliminate 3600 calories in one week is tough. To drop 36,000 is basically impossible. Yet, that is what many people wish to do when they have goals of dropping 10lbs in a week. In general, 1 &#8211; 1.5lbs a week is a reasonable amount.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Side note: this refers exclusively to burning 1.5lbs of fat. You will often drop 8lbs in a week, but it is merely water weight. When you cut back on calories, you will be cutting back on the three elements that comprise food: fat, carbs, and proteins. Carbs promote water retention so any reduction in the carbs you eat per week will lead to water weight loss.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Do not fall into the trap of wishing to spot reduce. No exercise can eliminate fat in a specific area. This is known as spot reduction and it can only be achieved via surgery. So, don&#8217;t believe the hype about exercise devices that can spot reduce. They cannot!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Crash diets and starvation diets are not a good option. Basically, cutting an enormous amount of calories too soon is self-defeating. Basically, this type of dieting sends the body into starvation mode. That means the body&#8217;s metabolism will slow to a crawl in order to conserve the calories it ingests. In time, you could even store more food as fat even though you are ingesting fewer calories!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is best to avoid too much exercise. This is a close cousin to starvation diets in the sense it is a strategy that seeks to do too much too soon. As with starvation diets the results of too much exercise are self-defeating. If you exercise too much you will greatly increase your chance of injury. Also, you could develop burnout within a short period of time. Either way, you will end up less active which means you will burn fewer calories. As such, it is best to stick with moderate amounts of exercise as opposed to over doing it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Don&#8217;t give up! Far too often, people will lament their diet isn&#8217;t working and just give up. Quitting is never a good idea and that is why it is critical to stick with achieving your weight loss goals. With the right effort, you will find the right diet and exercise program. You would assume that, with the amount of advice freely abounding, people would be able to follow instructions and lose their excess weight. In the majority of cases, however, this simply does not happen. But, why? What makes it so difficult to lose weight? After all, you would assume that, if a person wants to lose weight that much, then they would be able to set their minds to it, follow the rules and watch the scales creep down along with the clothes sizes. When you consider how much carrying around excess weight affects a person, apart from physically, reducing a person&#8217;s self-esteem so dramatically, you would assume that losing weight would be &#8211; well, not so much a doddle, but fairly straightforward. So, why isn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There really is no single answer. It could be an unrealistic weight loss plan, or it could be unrealistic expectations. I suspect fewer people suffer from lack of willpower than actually claim to. So what is the problem? Is losing weight too difficult? Or is it because most plans are too slow? How do we put an effective weight loss plan into action? Basically, a person who wants to lose weight needs to know what to eat and how to eat it, how to increase their activity level and how to change their behavior. One of the most important parts of any weight loss plan is attitude. Attitude over-rides everything else. You can have an excellent weight loss plan and exercise regime but, without the correct cognitive attitude, success will be as far away as ever.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">However, assuming you have the correct mindset and everything else is hunky-dory, where do you start? Are you going to follow a red day or a green day and then discuss sins with everybody you meet, or join one of the other diet classes where you get a pep-talk once a week and, for the rest of the week you struggle? From my own experience, the most difficult part of a weight loss plan is starting it and getting used to what you are allowed to eat and what is best avoided.</p>

You are going to be living with your weight loss plan every single day for quite a few months: you need to be able to carry on with your everyday life while you are following your weight loss plan.</p>
